Adult Bible Study uses VBS model as we enjoy an Octoberfest style potluck, a Bible Story skit, a Bible Study, craft time and a game of Bible Jeopardy based on the First Chapter of the Book of Daniel in the Old Testament.

Vacation Bible School Memories:

Christ Lutheran Church held a Reformation themed VBS for all ages on October 30, 2022. We enjoyed a delicious potluck, an interesting Bible Study about the Reformation from Pastor John, watched the 1953 version of the movie “Martin Luther”, played Reformation Jeopardy! and made crafts.

Christ Lutheran Church held a Vacation Bible School for all ages in October 2021 entitled “Big Fish Bay: Hooked on God’s Mercy. We ate a delicious potluck, sang VBS Songs, had a wonderful Bible Study on the Book of Jonah, played Bible Jeopardy!, and enjoyed crafts and games!

Christ Lutheran Church has also had many VBS opportunities for children over the last few years. Here are some of our VBS memories!

In 2017, Christ Lutheran Church held a Vacation Bible School for the neighborhood children entitled “Mighty Fortress: In Jesus, the Victory is Won”. We gathered five evenings in August and enjoyed a light supper, VBS songs including a lively version of “A Mighty Fortress is Our God!”, Medieval decor, Bible Stories about putting our faith in Christ Alone, a science lesson, crafts, and games. We learned about the real meaning of the Reformation.

July 17-21, 2016, Christ Lutheran held a Vacation Bible School with an underwater theme entitled “Deep Sea Discovery: God is With Us Wherever We Go!”. We gathered five evenings in a row for a light supper, VBS songs, Bible Stories about God helping us when life brings us rough seas or rough days, a science lesson, crafts and games. We had an underwater display on our stage with large cutout fish and a big cardboard boat!

In 2015, we held a science themed VBS entitled “Son Spark Labs: Gods Plan 4U=Jesus! We built a model science lab on the stage and our director Dr. Donna Smith dressed up as a mad scientist! We gathered five evenings for a light supper, VBS songs, Bible Stories about God’s creation, plus crafts and games and a skit with live science experiments!
