SPRING AND SUMMER EVENTS:

Church is family and we have several family events each year, especially Mother’s Day the second Sunday in May, Father’s Day the third Sunday in June, occasionally a Confirmation or Graduation ceremony when we have qualifying students, usually in May. Mother’s Day and Father’s Day often included procession of the moms or dads on their special day before our Traditional Liturgical Worship Service.

For several years we held Fourth of July celebrations before the service. Pastor Fred led us in reading the Declaration of Independence on the Sunday closest to the Fourth of July in 2016 and 2017 preceding our Traditional Liturgical Worship Service. If there is enough interest, we may bring that back in the future. We also sing a patriotic song or two, usually at the end of the service.

AUTUMN EVENTS:

Blessing of the Animals – First Saturday in October, every year in our Courtyard. Bring your pets for a special blessing in honor of St. Francis of Assisi Day, the Saturday closest to October 3rd.

Reformation Sunday – October 29, 2023 – Liturgical Divine Worship Service with Communion to celebrate the 506th Anniversary of the Reformation of the Church. We remember the blessings of the Reformation and Martin Luther, Our Great Reformer, who helped us to see that our Salvation  is based on Faith Alone with his 95 Theses posted on the church door at Whittenberg Catherdral October 31, 1517, and the Augsberg Confessions of 1530 affirming our beliefs. Come join us and wear Red for Reformation!
